FAQ2

At what age can I vaccinate my kitten and against what?

Vaccinations against 'flu and enteritis are required, both for health reasons and for boarding in reputable catteries, and should be started at the age of 9 weeks with a follow up at 12 weeks. Thereafter, annual boosters are required. In areas where there is a high density of cats we would strongly recommend vaccination against Feline Leukaemia Virus, which is passed on by direct contact with an infected cat. Carrier cats can look completely healthy.

Vaccinations are covered as part of our popular Pet Health Plan. For information on this click here. Alternatively for individual vaccine prices click here.

Pet Insurance:

We believe pet insurance is an important part of responsible pet ownership. If your pet suffers from an illness or injury you do not want to have to compromise veterinary care due to the financial cost of treatment. Due to advances in veterinary medicine, vets are able to offer more medical solutions for animals than ever before.

At the Cat Clinic we know our clients want the best for their pets and with

this in mind we encourage them to look for a reliable pet insurance policy to

provide financial help with the cost of unexpected veterinary bills.

There are a wide range of policies available but it’s important to realise that

not all pet insurance is the same and you need to choose your policy wisely.

That’s why here at the Cat Clinic we recommend Petplan - the UK’s No. 1 pet insurance provider*. Petplan offers a range of policies to suit all budgets including their Covered For Life® policies, recommended by 9 out of 10 vets**.
